Before you learn anything in this course, I want you to transcribe the opening 90 seconds from Breaking Bad into screenplay format.

Open your preferred screenwriting software, and start a new document. You will write a new scene.

Now, grab a timer or stopwatch, and record how long it takes you to transcribe it.

In 50 days from today, we are going to do the exact same exercise. We’ll see how you rate, both in terms of writing standard and speed.
